Idea!

Lightbulbs. The bane of our livelong life. They always seem to blow at the most inopportune moments and we never ever have them stocked up in our cupboards. No matter how many times you find yourself wandering about the hardware store pondering about whether or not you should splash out on some, ‘just in case,’ we never do.
Which is why I am writing this short post. I have currently been sat in the dark in my bedroom for the last two days because one blew over the weekend and every single time that I popped out of the house, I found myself forgetting to pick one up. When I did though I decided to ignore my usual halogen animal blinding choice of bulb and go for something that little bit greener. That’s right I opted for the dim slow light building bulbs that last for a billion years and alledgedly save you electricity and money. It was when thinking about the latter that the following thoughts occurred to me. How?
How do we really know if these energy efficient bulbs are energy efficient at all? We don’t really do we. It was then that another lightbulb went off, this time inside my own head – see what I did there? I realised that whilst on the vibe of saving money, I should just be looking at light bulbs, but the bigger picture entirely. My provider. A quick flick through a brilliantCompare energy called Uswitch and I quickly relised I could be saving a whole lot more than a few pence on long lasting bulbs.
Genius. I guess lightbulbs aren’t that bad after all eh?
